Von der California Fuel Cell Partnership wurde WEH im Jahre 2004 mit dem „Incentive Award“ für die Zertifizierung des Wasserstoff Betankungssystems TK16 H2 ausgezeichnet. Auch an den von der EU geförderten Projekten Clever, CUTE und StorHy war WEH maßgeblich beteiligt. WEH engagiert sich weltweit in zahlreichen Projekten zur Förderung von alternativen Kraftstoffen und ist damit auch Impulsgeber für eine mobile Gesellschaft der Zukunft.

First pistol grip fuelling nozzle for hydrogen
For the first time, a hydrogen nozzle in the pistol grip style has been developped for refuelling of cars with compressed hydrogen (CGH2). The nozzle is just as quick and easy to use as a common petrol nozzle: lift the nozzle from the dispenser and place it onto the vehicle's receptacle.
Gaseous hydrogen can only flow through the line if there is a safe connection. Extremely high flow rates result in short filling times. After refuelling disengage the nozzle's locking lever and disconnect.
The WEH® TK17 H2 70 MPa has a coding for pressure range and gas type that will not allow connection to natural gas vehicles or other pressure ranges. The TK17H2 70MPa is certified according PED97/23 (designed and tested according SAE J2600:2002 and SAE J2799 TIR as applicable). The TK17 H2 70MPa is also available with KHKS certification.

Enhanced safety for Hydrogen Fuelling Stations
In the event of accidental deployment by driving a vehicle from a filling station with the nozzle attached to the vehicle fuel port, the TSA1 H2 70 MPa will safely separate the connections between dispenser and filling hose. Both ends become instantly sealed, preventing an escape of gas.
The whole dispensing system is protected against damage , costly station downtime is avoided. The TSA1 H2 70 MPa is the first hydrogen breakaway with an integrated, maintenance-friendly 20 micron particle filter.
The TSA1 H2 70 MPa is rated for 700 bar refueling and a separation force of 300 to 600 N and is optionally available with IR-cable. The breakaway is certified according PED97/23.

Hydrogen free of impurities with WEH® TSF2 H2 Coalescing Filter
Clean, filtered gases are essential to guarantee the proper function of components for vehicles and filling stations when refuelling with hydrogen. No problem for the new WEH® type TSF2 H2 coalescing filter. TSF2 H2 filters the gas flow and removes contaminants reliably.
The WEH® TSF2 H2 has a high particle removal efficiency (efficiency of approx. 99.9% > 0.3 micron) in order to protect the critical components in the fuel system. Designed for installation onboard hydrogen vehicles (EC79) and in fuelling stations (CE). It is constructed of high grade material and easy to maintain.
WEH offers a wide variety of particle filters for various applications and end configurations, e.g. double ferrule fitting or internal thread on both sides, internal and external thread; T-Filters for hydrogen busses and trucks, etc.

Hydrogen receptacles and check valve
WEH completed its product range for 70 MPa hydrogen refuelling by developing the TN1 H2 70 MPa receptacle the TVR1 H2 70 MPa check valve for installation in light duty hydrogen vehicles. The WEH® TVR1 H2 70 MPa has a check valve system designed to minimize the effect that dirt particles have on sealing components within the valve. Also the WEH® TN1 H2 70 MPa has an integrated non-contact high-flow check valve ensuring the same effect. Both, the TN1 H2 70 MPa and the TVR1 H2 70 MPa are very durable units, minimizing maintenance and downtime. The sleek internal aerodynamic design gives low noise combined with a maximum flow rate and fast filling. A particle filter 20 micron integrated in the WEH® TN1 H2 70 MPa receptacle protects the system from impurities in the gas flow (optionally available without particle filter). Also the check valve WEH® TVR1 H2 70 MPa is optionally available with particle filter.
The receptacle has a coding for pressure range and gas type that will not allow connection to CNG fuelling nozzles or nozzles to other alternative fuels. The WEH® TN1 H2 70 MPa is approved according to EC79/2009. The WEH® TVR1 H2 70 MPa has an approval e1 for cars and is appropriated for installation in hydrogen fuelling stations (CE).
