Goal
Support hydrogen vehicle R&D and initial S Wales H2 refuelling infrastructure
Description
AP Series 100 equipment. It is the second station of the University Glamorgan. Hydrogen is taken from the hydrogen facility in Port Talbot. A 350bar compressed hydrogen refuelling station to support the university’s R&D and deployment goals for hydrogen vehicles and to encourage uptake of hydrogen vehicles. The University’s second hydrogen refueller to complement the facility at Baglan (40km away).

Comments

The project has been part-funded by the University, the Department for Transport Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Grant (AFIGP) Programme and the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Assembly Government (ERDF funded CymruH2Wales project). The station is part of the ongoing hydrogen and fuel cell R&D at the University of Glamorgan and part of the Welsh Government’s Low Carbon Economic Area initiative, focused on hydrogen energy development.
