HyWeb, 2010-01-14: Singapore-based Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies presented a personal hydrogen fuelling station named “Hydrofill” at this year’s Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas, USA. The small desktop device can be connected to the AC power grid, a solar panel or a small wind turbine and automatically produces hydrogen by means of water electrolysis. The hydrogen is stored through absorption in small refillable cartridges. Horizon sees its “Hydrofill” as the first step towards private refuelling of new generations of fuel cell electric vehicles.
