Climate and Energy
Climate change is undoubtedly a global subject that is increasingly affecting all areas of life and business. Determination of the Kyoto Treaty – and, above all with the EU Emissions Trading – have made climate change truly relevant for the European industry and energy sector. The ways in which energy is generated, distributed, stored and used are closely connected with climate change. With increased prices for the energy carriers and with new regulations the energy market is changing; renewables are becoming more important. Fur-ther more transparency in the energy market is expected.
