According to nowadays scientific perception, the ejection of Green house gases (GHG) is widely accepted as the reason for climate change. Carbon dioxide (CO2) plays an important role in this context. Considering this, GHG respectively CO2 shall be – wherever possible – avoided or reduced from the source. This is of course not feasible in all cases. But even for inevitable emissions there exists an option for climate protection – making use of climate neutrality.
Green house gases have a global negative impact, hence it is irrelevant in terms of climate protections, where the emissions are being produced or avoided. Thus inevitable emissions at place A can be compensated and consequently be “climate neutralized”, by initiating climate protection projects at place B.
Products and services can be set "climate neutral" by applying this principle, using verified emission reductions.
We offer you to certify your seminars, conferences, assemblies, trade fairs etc. as climate neutral events, and to award our label "climate neutral".
TÜV SÜD is committed to the Hessian and Munich climate partnership and is so offering the certification of climate neutral activities since many years.
