BlueRegistry core task is to avoid double selling of certificates from voluntary activities based on traceable evidence of ownership and provenience. The registry contributes to transparency in the voluntary market and enhances credit value. The BlueRegistry allows track certificates from activities in two main sectors:
* Climate change projects, e.g. verified according to TÜV SÜD VER+ standards
* Renewable energy generation, e.g. certified according to TÜV SÜD Generation EE standards
Services of the BlueRegistry:
BlueRegistry provides detailed information on the activity which has generated the credits and the corresponding verification process.
BlueRegistry assists account holder to administer their portfolio of credits from different activities. Account holders can be e.g. activity hosts, aggregates or traders and final costumers.
BlueRegistry allows managing information on credit trading over time. Once credits are traded between account holders e.g. based on regular contracts, the provision of corresponding proofs of transfer and the update of ownership information in the Registry contribute to the exclusion of double selling.
BlueRegistry is an open system that also permits to withdraw credits from BlueRegistry transferring them to other registries. Credits can also be permanently retired from BlueRegistry for the final use (Offsetting emissions in order to be climate neutral). Statements of Permanent Retirement are published in the list of retirement on BlueRegistry web site.
BlueRegistry does not interfere by any means with ownership.
