Two projects of the Oeko Institute and the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research, IFEU, regarding the environmental impact of electric cars have shown that only an increase in the usage of renewable energies will lead to a significant reduction of CO2 emissions. This new approach is the central element of the government program "Elektromobilität" (electromobility).
