Goal
to demonstrate a sorption enhanced steam methane reformer SE-SMR system
Description
The hydrogen station will base its hydrogen production on local, renewable energy. The station will feature on-site production of hydrogen via photovoltaic panels connected to an alkaline electrolyser, a newly developed reformer technology which will make hydrogen out of land fill gas. The station will also feature metal hydride compression, which will draw the compression energy from low-temperature waste heat. Tests of other hydrogen production technologies such as PEM electrolysis are possible in the future. IFE is the project leader. SAE J2601 standard

The station is part of Hynor hydrogen highway and is supported with funds from Norwegian Research Council, TRANSNOVA, the county of Akershus, Innovation Norway and the municipality of Skedsmo. The station is recommended by Daimler for FC B-class: 70 MPa yes. The station is accepted by major car companies.
