Goal
Initially opened to support GM’s Project Driveway but has since expanded to support multiple OEMs.
Description
Shell and GM installed the 700bar, fast-fill technology to support on-going needs of the Project Driveway fleet. The hydrogen station is adjacent a Shell gasoline refuelling station. The hydrogen station can fill three vehicles back to back in less than 5 minutes each and can support up to 30 kg/d. Nearly all of the equipment is packaged in a single shipping container which can be easily relocated. Users take advantage of IrDA nozzle and a simple user-interface. Users have access to the equipment 24/7.

Comments

The station was used within the Department of Energy Hydrogen programm and GM will continue to utilize the statin after project end.
