Goal
To support the hydrogen enriched natural gas bus and the Toyota fuel cell hybrid vehicle demonstration programs
Description
The station, installed by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., is located at the Unitrans Maintenance Yard on Garrod Drive in Davis. It provids both hydrogen enriched natural gas (Hythan) and pure hydrogen. Both fuels are delivered to vehicles in gaseous form. To fuel the hydrogen enriched natural gas buses, CGH2 is mixed with CNG in a blend unit and then dispensed into the buses at 3,200 to 3,600 psi. The blend fuel contains 30% hydrogen by volumen.
